The d&b booth divided itself in half, offering installation solutions on one side, mobile on the other
UK - Once again, the d&b GB team had plenty tucked up its sleeve for PLASA Focus Leeds in the North of England. Visitors to this year's booth left fully acquainted with all the latest solutions, plus practical advice from the Education and Application Support team - now something of a regular feature on the show's annual seminar programme.

As if this regional exhibition didn't make things easy enough, the d&b booth divided itself in half, offering installation solutions on one side, mobile on the other.

Making their Leeds debut were the two four channel installation specific amplifiers 30D and 10D, each providing targeted power outputs and features for permanent applications.

Further introductions were made to the award winning V-Series point sources, and d&b NoizCalc - the new modelling software for calculating noise immissions in the far field. Released only last month, a virtual setup gave visitors a chance to see how and what NoizCalc can do to minimize noise levels for neighbours.

For anyone wanting to know more about the integration possibilities with d&b, the Dante enabled DS10 Audio network bridge proved a good place to start. Designed specifically for d&b amplifiers the DS10 is the first d&b device to be positioned before the amplifiers in the signal chain, enabling users to interface easily with d&b systems via Ethernet, both for audio and remote control.

Over in the seminar room, the dab handed Steve Jones and Oran Burns guided listeners through two key topics at d&b: The next level of Democracy for listeners and Why size matters. Both sold out sessions took time to unravel these complex subjects, looking at how to achieve unparalleled tonal balance and even coverage across entire audience areas, and how the size of a loudspeaker affects its whole performance.

"PLASA Focus Leeds gets better each year," commented Gianni Abruzzese, commercial manager at d&b GB. "The show attracts such a diverse crowd it gives us the chance to talk to people from all areas of the industry, and offer face to face support if needed. This year has been another brilliant event. The enthusiasm for the new products and seminar sessions has been overwhelming - there can be no better endorsement for what we do."
