The Netherlands - Barco is expanding its F-series projection portfolio for the ProAV market with a rugged laser phosphor model. The F70 projector delivers long lifetime and reliability for fixed installations, ensuring reduced downtime and maintenance, and thus a lower total cost of ownership. Moreover, it provides constant brightness and color over a longer period of time.
The two models set for launch at ISE 2017 offer 4K UHD and WUXGA native resolution and up to 8,000 lumens light output. The F70 will be shipping from Q2 2017 onwards.
“Professionals in the theme park, venue, and visitor attractions industry are continuously looking for ways to wow their audiences and, at the same time, reduce setup time, downtime, and cost,” comments Peter Pauwels, director of strategic marketing at Barco. “The versatile F70 projector meets these demands through its 4K performance, long lifetime, reliable performance in terms of brightness and color, installation freedom, and low total cost of ownership.”
The F70 projector is suitable for fixed installation in a wide variety of venues and visitor attractions such as museums, theme parks, auditoriums, and science centres. And thanks to its motion platform compatibility, it’s a match for theme park dark rides. The projector enables customers to treat their audiences to compelling experiences that leave a lasting impression.
The eye-catcher of this year’s Barco booth at ISE will be the F70 projector mounted on a moving, robotic arm. This setup demonstrates that the F70 has no mounting angle restrictions and can be rotated 360 degrees. Tested and certified up to 3G, the projector is perfectly suited for motion-based projection in dark rides and simulators. The F70 will project onto a model of Barco’s ‘One Campus’ headquarters, in combination with five F90 projectors.
