Jon Morgan who is currently director of the Federation of Scottish Theatre (FST) will replace interim director Rebecca Morland who took over from previous director Mhora Samuel earlier this year.
With a wealth of experience across the theatre and arts industry Jon Morgan leaves the FST where he has been director since 2008. At the FST he was responsible for delivering a range of advocacy, training, advice, bursary programmes and industry events for the dance and theatre sector in Scotland. Under his tenure the Federation has become an effective membership organisation and an authoritative advocate on behalf of the sectors. During his time at the Federation he also co-founded and now co-chairs Culture Counts, a coalition of 46 strategic and umbrella bodies across the arts, screen, heritage and creative industries advocating for the value of culture in Scotland at both national and local government level.
His previous roles include director of Edinburgh Festival Fringe, executive producer of Contact Theatre, Manchester and general manager of TAG, Glasgow with earlier periods at Royal Conservatoire Scotland and Orchard Theatre, Kent.
