MA Lighting Console Makes Grand Impression Across Entertainment Sectors
UK/Europe - MA Lighting's top-of-the-range grandMA lighting console has recently been specified for several high profile shows in the international theatre, concert and corporate event entertainment lighting sectors. White Light has supplied grandMA consoles to two high-profile shows in the UK and Holland. In London, major autumn musical production Thoroughly Modern Millie has recently received its transfer from Broadway and is the first west end show to specify the console. In Holland, the grandMA provides lighting controls for the new 10th international production of the ABBA musical Mamma Mia!, which opens later this month. UK concert lighting hire company Neg Earth are supplying grandMA's for the current Simple Minds European tour and Beyonce Knowles' UK tour. Stage Electrics has also supplied a grandMA for the recent Pantene Pro-V Style Awards held at the Royal Albert Hall.

Pryderi Baskerville, programmer for Thoroughly Modern Millie commented: "Although the show was transferred from Broadway to London with a very short load-in time, it was not a problem due to the grandMA's fast and intuitive controls, which really cut down my programming time. As this was my first experience of using the console I feel that I only really scratched the surface of its capabilities, but it quickly proved itself to be very powerful, stable and above all enjoyable to use. A.C. Lighting also provided excellent support round the clock for any queries that I had. I am really looking forward to using the grandMA again."

Similarly Tim Routledge, lighting designer for the Pantene Pro-V Awards commented: "Using a grandMA for the first time on a show of this size was a daunting task, however, the speed of programming and flexibility of playback functions gave me the confidence to achieve the wide variety of looks required. I look forward to using the desk to its full potential on board the QM2 ship this December."

A.C. Lighting, the exclusive UK distributor for the grandMA console range, are offering free training and demonstration facilities for designers, programmers and operators at their offices in High Wycombe.
