USA - PLASA Events has announced the line-up for the next three editions of its North American regional trade show series. Following PLASA Focus: Stamford 2012, to be held on 12-13 November, 2012 at the Stamford Marriott in Connecticut, the new-style regional events will roll into Orlando on 15-16 May, 2013; Austin on 10-11 September, 2013; and Nashville on 5-6 February, 2014.

Having made a name for itself in its first year, the PLASA Focus series is committed to providing live production professionals that can't attend national shows with a chance to check out new technologies in their own backyard.

The events are the first chance for many entertainment tech communities to meet at a dedicated event for their area. Each event showcases the very latest pro audio, lighting, AV and stage technologies, much of the gear making its U.S debut, fresh from international launches.

CEO of PLASA Matthew Griffiths comments, "PLASA has over 1200 member companies worldwide and it is great to bring previews of their latest technology out to the tech communities in the regions around the U.S.

"The real heart of PLASA Focus, however, is people," continues Griffiths. "Each event is tailored to that specific region, which allows us to feature local dealers and production companies in a way that's never before been possible."

The shows are free to attend and include a chance to take part in the highly acclaimed PLASA Professional Development Programme, a free programme of educational sessions that run alongside each PLASA exhibition. The sessions are presented by entertainment technology's leading minds and provide insight into the most creatively ambitious, technically challenging or anecdotally interesting projects and techniques. Case study sessions are accompanied by 'Back to Basics' sessions and free product training.

Owned and organized by PLASA, the leading international trade association for the entertainment technology industries, PLASA Events uses its global membership body, market leading magazines, and network of successful events to pin-point the emerging technologies and new trends and connect technology, techniques and talent at a grass roots, regional level.

"There are talented live production communities all across America that desire a professionally put together event where they can network and get their hands on the latest gear. PLASA Focus is reaching out to those communities, and in so doing, creating the world's largest entertainment technology network, one show at a time," adds Griffiths.

PLASA members and local dealers and production companies receive substantially discounted exhibit space at all PLASA Focus events and further discounts for exhibiting at multiple events.
