The new lines will be on view at InfoComm in Orlando
USA - Martin Audio has announced its US launch, and demonstration of the new optimised line arrays, stage monitors and amplifiers, at InfoComm 2017 in Orlando.
Wavefront Precision Series is a new generation of multipurpose line arrays designed to bring Martin Audio’s signature sound, coverage consistency and control to a broader range of live events, permanent venue installations and budgets. Combined with the newly announced iKON multi-channel amplifiers, iK42 and iK81, Wavefront Precision is designed to be flexible, upgradeable and financially accessible.
Dom Harter, managing director, explains: “With Wavefront Precision we wanted to introduce a solution whereby customers could have a flexible and scalable approach to control of sound coverage. Simply put, the more loudspeaker boxes within an array that have dedicated amplifier channels, the higher the resolution and scale of coverage control achievable through our DISPLAY software.
“This means even at the lowest level of resolution the results are still fundamentally better than traditional line array, without extra cost, and at the top end of resolution users can enjoy many of the benefits that our premier MLA systems provide. This fundamentally changes the rule book and reaffirms once again our leadership in optimised array technology.”
To accompany this series there are two new high performance subwoofers the SX118 and SX218, a single 18” and double 18” respectively.
The XE Series features Coaxial Differential Dispersion technology with a patent pending third static waveguide, the XE series is designed to deliver perfect monitor sound with a defined coverage pattern that allows the artist freedom of movement, while reducing overlap with adjacent monitors.
Jason Baird, R&D Director, commented: “The world of stage monitoring has been stagnating for far too long with much of today’s monitor technology based on decade old solutions. XE changes the game and the fact that you can go right up and over the monitor as well as further back without significant changes in SPL or tonality improves the flexibility for an artist and sound engineer.”
Meanwhile, the latest LE Monitor Series scales down the technology found in the XE Series to bring engineering innovation to everyday stage monitoring.
These new lines will be on view at InfoComm, alongside BlacklineX, CDD, CDD-LIVE, and MLA Compact and this full line up will also be in the demo room W224D.
