The flagship Wings Engine Raw 8K server is claimed to be the world’s most powerful media server of its kind for uncompressed content playback
Germany - Austria’s AV Stumpfl returns to Frankfurt with a broad line-up of high-performance media server products and projection screens for the live entertainment space. The AV Stumpfl philosophy applied to each product is built around enabling faster set up time, lower maintenance requirements, portability and a lower Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), the company says.
New to Prolight+sound will be the fully upgraded Wings Engine Stage media server. Technical director Fred Neulinger describes the new server, "The original Wings Engine Stage was already very robust and built from stainless steel. For the new Wings Engine Stage, we created an improved system architecture that is even more shock absorbent and is truly fantastic for all rental and staging environments.
“It has a more powerful processor and new display port outputs, in addition to framelock and genlock inputs. Prolight+Sound visitors will love seeing this new media server inaction."
The flagship Wings Engine Raw 8K server will also be shown. Currently it is the world’s most powerful media server of its kind for uncompressed content playback, delivering four simultaneous streams of uncompressed 4K content at 60hz. Multiple automotive brands usedWings Engine Raw 8K technology to launch their next-generation innovations in uncompromising quality at the recent 87th Geneva Motor Show.
Another addition to AV Stumpfl’s media server and show control family is the new Wings Player. This compact but powerful high end digital signage hardware player closes the gap between simple video players and fully blown media servers. It features automatic camera based calibration and soft-edge blending for flat surfaces and can be upgraded for use in 3D projection mapping setups.
AV Stumpfl’s UHD Player is a solid-state player unit that can handle files up to 3840 x 2160 @ 60fps, using the H.265 codec. Multiple UHD Players can be frame synchronised via IP networks using a dedicated synchronisation protocol to simplify the display wall setup process.
A broad range of premium quality projection screens for entertainment environments will of course also be shown, including the new MONOCLIP screen system.
Hans Stucken, global marketing manager concluded, “When it comes to the European live entertainment market, there’s no show like Prolight+Sound. We’re delighted to be returning to Frankfurt for this year’s show. AV Stumpfl is in a unique position by being able to manufacture both projection screens and media server systems, which is why many well-known rental and staging companies like to use our products. Attending Prolight+Sound is important to further deepen these relationships, to meet new clients and users and to find out more about future trends.”
