PLASA Focus Glasgow returns to the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre (SECC) on 18-19 January 2017
UK - PLASA Focus Glasgow has announced its final programme of events, including support from the BBC who will provide a unique opportunity to visit the BBC Scotland production facility. PLASA Focus Glasgow - Scotland's sole entertainment technology show - returns to the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre (SECC) on 18-19 January 2017.

John Carmichael, BBC Radio operations manager for Scotland, will host a tour of the studio for the Quay Sessions, a live music programme recorded in front of an audience, including a run-through of the state-of-the-art studio technology in use. The studio is in the BBC Scotland production facility at Pacific Quay, just a few minutes' walk from the SECC.

Other highlights on the Glasgow programme include a networking event at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, who will host a drinks reception and technical tours. Seminar sessions promise to educate, inform and inspire, including sessions by the Association of Lighting Designers, business advice from the Department for Trade and Investment, and the ever-popular Riggers Forum [sponsored by UK Rigging] once again hosted by Harry Box, UK Rigging, and Chris Higgs, Total Training.

At the heart of the show will be over 80 renowned brands, showcasing the latest technology, hosting exclusive product launches and sharing their expertise on the show floor. Highlights include audio manufacturer RCF's UK debut of the new TT45-CXA stage monitor; The Warehouse Sound Services will be showing Adamson's new S10 Sub Compact Line Array System; Chroma-Q will launch their latest and brightest lighting fixture Color One 100X; and following on from the international launch at the PLASA Show, Robe will showcase the Spiider, the next generation of superbright LED light.

Hands on product training will be delivered on both days, including MA Lighting dot2 lighting console training from Ambersphere Solutions, as well as an introduction to MagicQ, MagicVis and MagicHD from ChamSys. Production services supplier Adlib will host a demo room to demonstrate the latest technical solutions by Martin Professional and L-Acoustics.

Running alongside the show, The AV User Group regional meeting, lunch and networking drinks will take place at SECC Glasgow on Thursday 19 January 2017. While it is a members' event, all AV professionals are welcome to attend providing they sign up to the AV User Group.
