The tour will visit Germany, the Netherlands, France, Switzerland, UK, Norway, Sweden and Denmark
Europe Visualization expert Barco has kicked off a two-month roadshow throughout Europe. The objective: to demonstrate the power of Barco 4K projection technology and 4K image processing. Departing from Barco’s head office in Kortrijk, the Barco truck first headed for Prolight+Sound in Frankfurt. From there, it will be crisscrossing Europe until mid-June, visiting around 45 partner and customer events.
Barco’s product offering for events and venues is constantly reaching new heights to meet the market need for ever-brighter outcomes. If it comes to ensuring really bright images, 4K projection – together with 4K image processing – is just the ticket.
To show its 4K solutions at work and encourage real interaction with customers and partners, Barco decided to tour Europe. Visitors to the Barco truck will discover the power of Barco’s 4K laser projectors and its Event Master family of 4K image management systems. On some locations, at the outside of the truck, Barco will showcase how its R10 digital media canvas is flexible, yet bright at the same time.
One of the stars of the tour is Barco’s UDX large venue projector, which was launched just last week. The UDX is a fine example of customer-centric development: before designing the projector, Barco talked to customers, gauging what they expect from a large venue projector. Easy shipment, setup and maintenance, vivid colours, flexible brightness and resolution and compatibility with existing TLD lenses were the top requirements. The new 4K laser phosphor UDX projector ticks all the boxes.
“By involving customers in our plans and collaborating with them, we can develop the solutions they really need, thus delivering upon our promise to ‘enable bright outcomes’,” says Carl Rijsbrack, VP events at Barco. “We are delighted with the positive feedback that we’re getting on the UDX. The Barco truck is the best way to spread the word about our newcomer. We’re taking it to the people, instead of waiting for them to come to us."
Barco partner satis&fy delivered the truck, which has custom design wrapping featuring the Barco logo. After a four-day stop at Prolight+Sound in Frankfurt, it will hit the road, heading to Germany, the Netherlands, France, Switzerland, UK, Norway, Sweden and Denmark.
