Ministry of Sound requires a Technical Production Manager to head up a team of four looking after the sophisticated sound, light, entertainment and media technology at the Ministry of Sound and related businesses in London SE1 6DP.
The Production Manager in responsible for providing the safe and efficient; operation, management and maintenance of Ministry of Sound’s lighting, sound, video, broadcast and Special effects systems to ensure a high standard of performance and presentation of artists and events.
The successful candidate will be a driven and dynamic leader, able to ensure high standards in the efficient and  imaginative production of the music and entertainment aspects of events.
Key responsibilities:

• Ensure the safety of all staff and customers, especially with regard to the rigging, use and operation of technical show production elements
• Lead and direct the management of Technical staff and events
• Efficiently manage financial planning and accounting, orders and purchasing
• Work within annual budgets for sound and light equipment
• Ensure a thorough knowledge of Ministry premises production systems and their operation
• Develop and train in relevant management and technical skills throughout the team
• Train & Develop Tech staff
• Maintain asset register
• Place orders for lighting and sound equipment when required
• Stock maintenance of production consumables, spare parts and components
• Servicing and assisting with all audio and lighting equipment repairs
• Build and maintain relationships with relevant external supply companies
• Ensure the Sound system and show production is of the highest professional standard 
• Maintain highest standards of housekeeping at all times
• Engage with clients and talent directly in advancing of shows and events
• Operate all Club and Private Hire and Ministry events as required.
• Managing the advancing of events as required
• Managing and agreeing décor & rigging for our club events and external promoters
• Become proficient with our in house broadcast video platform
• Build and work to a maintenance schedule to ensure all production equipment is always operational.
• Delivering department objectives each quarter.
• Develop a forward thinking innovative and creative approach to show production, through meetings with promotions and management teams.
• Attend trade shows and venues to keep up with the industry’s trends 
• All other duties and tasks as agreed with management
Person specification:

• Good holistic awareness of Heath and Safety aspects of operating show production
• Experienced and competent in the operation of sound light and special effects systems
• Energetic and active approach to tasks
• Sense of good leadership but collaborative
• Has a good grasp of and loyalty to the mission
