Black Light stocks the full range of Le Maitre effects - from its theatrical flashes and stage gerbs, to its confetti canons, smoke puffs and fountains. All the associated hardware - including controllers, pods, detonators and cables - is available to hire.
"This is the time of year that we see a particularly high interest in pyrotechnics, as Christmas approaches and the pantomime season kicks off," says Sibbald. "However, Le Maitre effects can enhance any performance or event. For example, we hire out the equipment for product launches and weddings."
Black Light doesn't just hire and sell pyrotechnic effects and equipment. Its knowledgeable staff are also on hand to offer advice on all related technical and creative questions associated.
"If someone comes to us with a description of an effect they'd like to create, then we'll let them know the best way to achieve it," says Sibbald. "We have videos of the effects in action and also advise on all aspects of health and safety to ensure that everything is done with no danger to performers or venues."
