The BPM Show returns in October
UK - The future of DJ exhibition BPM has been secured with the launch of a new limited company, BPM Shows Ltd.
The show, previously organised by Marked Events as BPM | PRO, was initially cancelled following Marked Events' liquidation in the summer of 2018.
But a joint effort led by some of the affected companies who worked closely with Pete Williams of Mobile DJ Network (MDJN) ensured BPM 2018 took place last October in a less costly, more business-friendly environment at Cranmore Park, Solihull.
BPM Shows Ltd is led by show directors Steven Boys, an experienced mobile DJ/sound and lighting engineer with a background in weddings and events organising, and Jack Wilson (Kent Media Group). They will be supported by a team of well-known industry figures including Mark Parkhouse (FBT Audio) and Kris Dawber.
Wilson comments: “We are very proud to officially announce the return of BPM, not as a last-minute rescue plan but as an exhibition with a future and a strategy for supporting the industry.
“Our plan is rooted in the success of 2018 - an affordable annual event that offers true return on investment and which grows at the rate the industry needs. I’m delighted to say that the 2019 show is already almost entirely sold out. That’s a huge vote of confidence and we take that support very seriously.”
Boys adds: “We also want our visitors and the wider industry to let us know what they want from BPM. Those opinions are at the heart of making BPM a success and we would love to hear from you.”
BPM 2019 will take place at Cranmore Park over the weekend of 5-6 October.
