The Association of British Theatre Technicians (ABTT) committee has appointed Point Promotions, organiser of the Sound Broadcasting Equipment Show, to manage its show operations. This comes at a time when the physical size and importance of the Show has surpassed the ABTT committee with the organiser, Roger Fox conceding that it is now "very much a full time job" and it can only meet the demands of the industry with professional exhibition management. This announcement follows the news of the show's change of name and widening focus for 2001. The ABTT Theatre Show 2001 will be held at the Royal Horticultural Halls, London, on 4-5 April 2001.
