Each week, Overlake Christian Church (OCC) is filled with a variety of events as well as Christian services. The 5,000-seat sanctuary has been in operation for close to 20 years with an average weekly attendance of 3,500.

Adlib has a long history with New York based Firehouse Productions, providing stacks and racks in UK & Europe on world tours supported by them. AVSI's Mike Venditte says, "The warehouse was especially challenging with its 50ft ceilings and 3.5-second reverb time. Ambient noise was also an issue. Broadcast on SABC 3 and produced by Rapid Blue, this international format, is produced in nearly 50 countries around the world and sets the ballroom floor alight every week with a sparkling display of dancing and lighting.

The series was lit by Gearhouse's Robert Grobler primarily using a selection of Robe moving and static LED lightsources - nearly 150 in total - all supplied, together with other lighting and rigging elements by Gearhouse South Africa. Strictly SA was recorded at SABC's Renaissance Centre in Auckland Park, Johannesburg.

Robert was keen to continue using mostly LED fixtures, a path he took when lighting the show the previous year. He was given a free rein to create appropriate lighting by the producers based on certain givens, like the
