Martin Lubach joins Dubai-based Eclipse Group as general manager.
UAE - The team at Eclipse Staging Services will be further strengthened from March 2014 by the arrival of Martin Lubach, who has been appointed as the company's new general manager.

With 30 years of experience in the entertainment industry, Martin - a graduate of electronics and electrical engineering from Edinburgh University - worked for two years as commercial director at PRG UK. From 2011 - 2013 Martin took an active role in contributing to the company's growth strategy through proactive sales, management and leadership of the specialist sales team.

After joining a small lighting company known as Essential Lighting in 1998, Martin - due to his technical capabilities - helped the business grow very quickly and became technical director and shareholder; working on any technically demanding jobs but also on warehouse procedures to create a more efficient machine. After the acquisition by PRG in 2009, Martin went on to become managing director of Essential Lighting, successfully overseeing the organisation merger through a difficult recession.

"I'm relishing the challenge of working in Dubai," stated the new general manager. "I will be looking to streamline and develop the entire team to further support Eclipse's growth; working alongside the rest of the management team and taking the company forward into the next stage of its evolution."

Eclipse Group CEO, Mark Brown commented: "I first worked with Martin whilst he was at Starlite, in the 1990s, developing the award winning Starlaser which toured with Elton John and Deep Purple, and I subsequently owned the company Starlite Systems Technology for a brief period. Martin has the special combination of technical and commercial background and has been working in a senior position for one of the largest companies in our industry. Eclipse needed a more structured approach in its management, and Martin can help develop this, working in tandem with Simon Ransom who brings regional experience to the mix."
