Germany - For more than 40 years, Germany's Wige Solutions has been providing companies with event technology for corporate events, as well as advanced broadcast solutions, dynamic live graphics, and millisecond-precise timing for sporting events. The company often works on-location and its on-site teams have found Elation’s KL series of full-colour, high-CRI LED Fresnel lights to offer the flexibility needed to meet a wide range of on-camera requirements. After years of successfully using the popular KL Panel, Wige Solutions expanded its inventory in early summer by adding Elation’s KL Fresnel 8 FC, a powerful full-colour softlight featuring a 500W RGBMA engine. They then sought a smaller fixture to accommodate low ceiling heights and limited load capacities.
“In this respect, we were very pleased about the appearance of the smaller KL Fresnel 4 FC,” said Pierre Weber, deputy head of event force at Wige Solutions. After a product demonstration, thorough testing, and drawing on their positive experience with larger fixtures in the KL Fresnel series, the company decided to add the KL Fresnel 4 FC with its 80W RGBMA engine to their equipment lineup.
Wige Solutions’ compact LED Fresnels, which weigh just 3.7kg, celebrated their premiere during the Paris Games this past summer, where 94 lights were used for the general lighting of the central reception and event area in the German House, an official contact point for guests, sponsors and partners, and a meeting place for athletes, fans, media and more.
“We are certainly not the only ones who really benefit from the ultra-compact full-colour Fresnel lights,” Weber stated. “With the KL Fresnel 4 FC and KL Fresnel 8 FC, we now have solutions for high-quality, camera-compatible white and coloured light for larger and smaller applications and can adequately respond to different project needs. The KL Fresnel 4 FC are so compact and discreet that they do not attract attention, even if they are visible in the camera image. The perfect addition for us.”
