Nathan Hernando has been appointed as sales manager
UK - As part of the expansion of SSE’s London operation in Park Royal, Nathan Hernando has been appointed as sales manager. Nathan most recently worked as business development manager for Solid State Logic, where he had a leading role in their new live console range.
At SSE, Nathan takes over the role of sales manager from Peter Codron, who recently moved to Martin Audio.
Nathan will steer the development of new equipment sales for SSE in London and the South of England, and will also have an important role to play in SSE’s Installation division.
SSE’s sales director, Alex Penn comments: “Last year Nathan helped us to establish ourselves as a dealer for SSL’s Live console range. We know him and he knows us, which I’m sure will help Nathan to settle in. I’m pleased that we have been able to replace Peter as quickly as we have, as London continues to grow rapidly in terms of Sales and Installations.
“We were already looking to expand the team at Park Royal now that our enlarged premises permits it. With Nathan at the helm of the Sales team in London we see this as a great opportunity for further growth and development of the team with an initial focus on console sales within the capital to play to the strengths of Nathan’s experience.”
“SSE becoming part of the Solotech family makes it a very exciting time to be joining the organisation,” comments Nathan Hernando. “I’m looking to build a firm foundation here and growing the Sales and Installations operation in London.
“I’ve worked in every sector of the sales channel from retail to distribution through to representing a manufacturer. That combined with my technical skillset makes me confident I can help steer SSE to even greater levels of success.”
SSE’s London operation at Park Royal has recently more than doubled its capacity, by taking over the unit next door. This has provided much needed increased warehouse space, plus new facilities to support hire, sales and installations.
London general manager Stephen Connolly explains, “It was very fortuitous that additional space has become available to us because the business out of Park Royal has grown massively. We continue to recruit staff to join the team in London, with the aim of offering the full services of the Group and our brands.”
“For the Hire side of the business, we have created a well-appointed desk prep room, where engineers can set everything up before a tour. Our facility is available to engineers who might be preparing to tour with SSE, Wigwam or Capital Sound - if our location is convenient for them, then it’s available.”
