L-R: Consultant Steve Warren and Light Engine Dry Hire directors Jon Newman, Colin Bodenham and Angus Chinn
UK - Light Engine Dry Hire, a new London-based dry hire service, launched on 1 May. The company offers stocks of the latest technologies and innovations in LED fixtures from a wide variety of manufacturers.
The Light Engine Dry Hire directors Colin Bodenham, Jon Newman and Angus Chinn were drawn to their strict fixture selection by the clear advantages offered by LED fixtures of improved sustainability, minimal waste and high efficiency. The core team is completed by Ayesha Chinn as warehouse manager, and Steve Warren and Carolina Fajardo-Linares of LDC as the contracted marketing and promotional department.
The Light Engine Dry Hire centre is located in London’s ‘Lighting Quarter’ of Park Royal NW10, making its position practical for collections and deliveries within Greater London and gives easy access to the M1 and M40 motorways. Light Engine Dry Hire already holds substantial stocks of exclusively LED sources, with the focus on IP rated outdoor luminaires.
Assets director Jon Newman comments: “Light Engine will focus on our core values of offering the highest quality and latest technology with further planned investments to be driven by the demands of lighting designers and rental company customers.”
The rental company offers the newest fixtures from manufacturers, including Astera tubes, Robe washes and effects, SGM floods, GLP strobes, Martin Sceptron, Ayrton spots, vintage eye-candy Portmans, Chauvet battens, washes and profiles, Elation IP pars, ProLights uplighters, and ETC profiles and fresnels.
Operations director Angus Chinn adds: “Light Engine Dry Hire will allow production rental companies to satisfy client and lighting designers creative demands by choosing exactly the products they desire whilst growing their businesses quickly with minimal capital investments.”
