UK - Blackburn-based lighting and visuals rental company HSL supplied lighting equipment to the latest Katherine Jenkins UK tour, which was designed by Tim Routledge.

HSL's project manager was Mike Oates who says, "It was great to work with Tim and production manager Neil McDonald on this, especially as it was a bit different. It both contrasted and complimented all the other music tours in which we are currently involved with a classy design that looked great and was completely appropriate."

UK - d&b audiotechnik reports a successful debut at PLASA Focus Leeds. "Our first outing here and it's proved an ideal forum for us," said Stephen 'Oggi' Hogg who heads up the GB office for d&b. "We have a strong distribution in the north of the UK, and enjoyed the opportunity to meet and engage with their clients."

UK - Not even the rain could dampen the enthusiasm at the Royal Armouries last week as PLASA Focus: Leeds 2012 opened its doors for two days of unparalleled access to the newest and most innovative products on the market for the live entertainment industry.

Visitor numbers reached a record-breaking 2122 - an increase of 8.5% on 2011. In all, 2680 people attended the show over the two days and such was the confidence felt by exhibitors that an unprecedented number of exhibitors re-booked on-site for 2013.
