PLASA Show 2022: Chauvet answers the questions

UK - “What’s new?” Unscientific research has shown those to be the most common words uttered by visitors when they first enter a trade show stand. Those who pose that question to the Chauvet Professional team at PLASA stand C-16 will be treated to some exciting answers, as the company continues to build on its recent impressive string of IP65 rated product introductions, particularly in regard to their class leading weight.
Among the highlights of the booth will be the Maverick Storm 2 BeamWash, the Rogue Outcast 2X Wash, and the Ovation Rêve E-3 IP. Each of these fully-featured outdoor ready fixtures will be making its international trade show debut at PLASA. Thanks to their IP65 rating, the new fixtures are also easy to maintain, as their insides remain dust and debris free.
The Maverick Storm 2 BeamWash is the first in the next generation of Maverick IP65 rated moving heads (profile fixtures are waiting to delight on the horizon). Intensely bright, with an output close to 10,000 lumens, this newcomer, which features 19 50-watt RGBW LEDs in its center pixel array and an outer ring of 0.2-watt RGB LEDs, can light up even the largest stadium or amphitheatre. With a zoom range that goes down to 3.6ﹾ, the Maverick Storm 2 BeamWash can create searingly tight aerial beams. Then, when it’s time for a wide wash, that range can go up to a generous 53.4 ﹾ- all in a rigging-friendly package that weighs in at under 22 kgs (less than 50 lbs.).
Expanding the Rogue Outcast family, the Outcast 2X Wash builds on the success of the Rogue R2X Wash and offers the same strong feature set. However, thanks to its innovative and durable aluminium/magnesium alloy body, it now offers IP-65 protection for superior indoor and outdoor performance at a mere 11 kgs (23 lbs).
The Ovation Rêve E-3 set the standard for LED ellipsoidals when it was introduced last year. Now this popular series has raised the bar even higher with the PLASA introduction of the Ovation Rêve E-3 IP. The new fixture offers the same full spectrum and tuneable white capabilities with class-leading output as the original Rêve E-3, along with 2800K to 8000K colour temperature presets to deliver unparalleled quality of light. An emulated “red shift” for a tungsten-like look and four 16-bit dimming curves add to its versatility, while its adjustable yoke make it easy to mount in a wide range of spaces.
