UK - ISCVEx 2025, hosted at the historic Coombe Abbey Hotel in Coventry, is a gathering for professionals in the sound, communications and visual engineering industries. Organised annually by the Institute of Sound, Communications and Visual Engineers, the event welcomes both members and non-members to engage in a variety of enriching activities designed to foster professional growth, industry insights and networking opportunities.
Commencing on Tuesday, 25 March 2025, with the ISCVE Members’ Day and AGM, ISCVEx provides a key moment for the Institute to reflect on achievements and outline future goals. After a presentation by Andy Dockerty from Adlib on the future of the live events industries, attendees later joined a vibrant networking dinner, complete with live entertainment, offering a unique environment to build relationships and celebrate together.
Wednesday’s agenda featured a series of industry-leading seminars, where experts shared insights on emerging technologies, evolving business models, shifting trends in customer experiences and sustainable practice in design and manufacture of audio-visual equipment. These sessions provided participants with invaluable knowledge to stay ahead in an ever-changing industry.
Formal awards were also made throughout the day, celebrating the achievements of dedicated members as they received their Companionship and Fellowship awards in recognition of their contributions to the Institute and the industry. Engraved plaques were also presented to new Premium Supporting Members.
The exhibition, an integral part of ISCVEx, showcases the latest innovations in sound, communications and visual engineering. Attendees had the opportunity to explore cutting-edge products and services, engage directly with exhibitors and gain practical insights into advancements shaping the industry.
ISCVEx highlights ISCVE’s dedication to supporting its members through education, networking and innovation. By bringing together professionals from across the sector, ISCVEx 2025 once again demonstrates the power of collaboration and the value of being part of a forward-thinking, supportive Institute.
Mark Bailey of Mark Bailey Audio enthuses: "A couple of firsts for me this week – my first visit to ISCVEx, and what an experience it was. I discovered the event through a LinkedIn post, registered, and off I went . . . and it did not disappoint. One stand-out moment was Andy Dockerty’s incredible talk, From Setback to Spotlight: Restoring Professionalism in the Live Events Industry. Delivered in his signature engaging style, it tackled key industry challenges, from government recognition to inspiring the next generation of AV professionals. An absolutely outstanding session that left a lasting impact."
Hanieh Motamedian of Pure Audio Visual adds: “ISCVEx never fails to impress! Engaging stands, knowledgeable exhibitors, and a perfect setting to connect with suppliers and industry peers. It’s an ideal space to have meaningful conversations, explore new connections and strengthen industry relationships."
Ros Wigmore, business manager for ISCVE, remarks: “It was inspiring to see so many industry members, some attending for the first time, come together for this event. We are already preparing for ISCVEx 2026 and look forward to continuing this tradition of knowledge-sharing and collaboration.”
