Europe - LSC Control Systems, acquired by Robe Lighting in 2024, has announced the appointment of Kris Noerens as its new business development manager for Europe.
Noerens, who joins the company from LSC’s Benelux distributor, Controllux in Belgium, is an experienced theatre lighting professional, having spent almost 30 years as a freelance lighting designer and operator. His career has also included spells at AC Lighting (now AC Entertainment Technologies) in London and Barndoor BVBA in Belgium.
He has also held lighting and management roles at renowned venues such as Ancienne Belgique and The Royal Theatre of La Monnaie, as well as the theatre and music centre in Kortrijk, among others. His role with Controllux saw him involved with various supply and installation projects for theatres, opera houses and other cultural venues.
Noerens says: “This new role in a European context is a challenge I’m very much looking forward to. I believe that together we can create something remarkable, and I look forward to building a real success with the LSC team.”
LSC’s international sales manager Pete Floyd says: “I have known Kris for many years, and I’m delighted that he has been able to join us. With his long knowledge of the workings of theatres and venues, his understanding of the technical requirements of our market is exceptional – and, on top of that, he’s well-known, respected, and liked! We’re looking forward to doing great things together with the LSC brand.” Noerens will be based in Belgium.
