India - Lollapalooza India 2025 delivered a memorable audio experience, thanks to Mega Sound’s deployment across the Corona Sunsets Stage (Main Stage 1) and Nexa Stage (Stage 3).
Mega Sound engineered precision-driven sound for an audience of over 70,000 fans, ensuring seamless performances from Green Day, Shawn Mendes, Nothing But Thieves, Cory Wong, Waves to Earth, Jonita Gandhi, Hanumankind, and more.
Marking their long-awaited India debut, both Green Day and Shawn Mendes relied on Mega Sound’s carefully designed L-Acoustics PA system, delivering uniform coverage across a 550ft audience area with 232 PA boxes, supported by a three-layer audio transport system for fail-safe signal transmission. The L-Acoustics P1 System Processor enabled real-time adaptation to climate variations, ensuring stability and tonal balance despite temperature drops. At the system’s core, Luminex Gigacore Switches provided robust connectivity and streamlined signal management.
The collaboration and advanced planning with the system engineers of both headliners were smooth, as they were highly impressed with the precise design and deployment plan. Both engineers conducted a walkthrough during the PA check and provided positive feedback on how the PA was tuned, aligned, and its overall coverage through the venue.
Mega Sound integrated top-tier technology, including L-Acoustics K1, K2, KARA, ARCS II, KS28, A15, and KS21, alongside DiGiCo and Avid consoles at both front-of-house and monitor positions.
In addition to its PA system and integration, Mega Sound also made history by implementing Shure Axient Digital PSM in-ear monitoring for the first time in India.
With a month of detailed planning, Mega Sound fine-tuned every aspect of the festival’s audio setup, from festival patching to seamless artist changeovers.
Siddharth Chauhan, audio director of Mega Sound, reflected on the experience: "Lollapalooza India 2025 was a landmark event for us. Delivering seamless audio for legendary acts like Green Day and Shawn Mendes required immense planning and collaboration. The response from international engineers and artists was overwhelmingly positive, reinforcing our commitment to world-class audio production."
