UK - Media City’s new Content Studio and co-working space at White Tower in Salford offers a blank canvas for influencers, photographers, producers, film makers, and other creatives, where they can share ideas, collaborate on projects, and make connections.
An important feature of the new Studio is its audio system, which was delivered by experienced Salford-based specialists Hollowsphere AV, who recommended and installed a Pioneer Pro Audio system from the company’s CM-Series of commercial audio products. With a brief to provide a system for background music and performance, the system needed to provide warm, clear sound, whilst also having the aesthetic qualities to discreetly complement the Content Studio interior.
Adrian Ball of Hollowsphere comments: “We were recommended for this project having completed a previous job at Media City’s Hot House venue, and having taken account of the brief, knew that the CM-Series units would fit the bill perfectly. They draw on Pioneer PRO Audio’s heritage of manufacturing dynamic club speakers, and that’s evident in quality of the build and the audio. We’re pleased with the system which is equally comfortable at background and foreground levels.”
The loudspeakers at Content Studio were installed in close proximity to the service equipment in the ceiling and comprised 13 x Pioneer Pro Audio CM-S54T 4” and five CM-S56T 6” surface mount loudspeakers, and a single CM-510ST-K subwoofer. A Powersoft Quattrocanali 1204 DSP amplifier (4-channel 1200W) powers the system which is controlled by means of a wall-mounted Powersoft WM Touch Panel.
Adrian concludes: “This was yet another excellent Pioneer Pro Audio CM-Series installation. We’ve used them successfully across a range of jobs, including bars and restaurants, and always been impressed with the outcomes. The client at Media City Content Studio was very happy with the system and has placed further orders for future works.”
