After two years PLASA Show has finally returned to Olympia London
UK - After two years PLASA Show has finally returned to Olympia London for three days of long awaited networking, learning and discovery. The show floor is filling up with eager visitors and the seminar and training programme is in full swing.
Always an unmissable feature is Robe’s stand (E19) which runs regular presentations of their latest lighting fixtures. This year’s design is entitled The Show Goes On, a nod to the live sector’s challenges throughout COVID. The focus will be on Robe’s TE – Transferable Engine technology. Plus, visitors can look forward to seeing the recently launched T2 along with a preview of the not-yet-released T11. Also in action is the Forte, Robe’s highest powered LED moving light.
The show floor is brimming with new products, many have been awaiting release or were developed throughout the pandemic. On the audio front these include Sennheiser’s Evolution Wireless Digital and Allen & Heath’s new addition to the dLive range – the CTi1500 which visitors can see on Audio-Technica’s stand. There will also be exciting products from L-Acoustics, EM Acoustics, Nexo and many more.
Lighting professionals can look forward to seeing Avolites’ new Diamond 9 console and three debut releases from Astera – the PixelBrick, AX2 PixelBar and the AX9 PowerPAR. Plus Artistic Licence are launching the candlePower octo at the show which can be seen alongside the new Commissioner multi and sunDial quad which won Gold at the 2019 PLASA Innovation Awards.
Visitors are invited to the d&b Soundscape Theatre to experience the latest audio technologies, along with leading audio brands. Today visitors can look forward to Working in Virtual Production & XR with White Light and 5 Wireless Workbench Features You Didn't Know You Needed with Shure. Not forgetting demonstrations from d&b audiotechnik, DiGiCo and Klang.
KV2 Audio and RCF are hosting exclusive demo spaces where you can hear what sound systems are capable of in controlled environments. KV2 Audio have brought along their high performance VHD 2.0 touring and installation system and VHD 4.21 subwoofer, as well as their newly released CS Series. RCF are here with their exciting new NX 9 and Art 9 products.
ChamSys and Chauvet Professional are hosting training and demos on the Gallery level throughout the show. Today visitors can get hands on with the new MagicQ Stadium console from ChamSys, and Chauvet are showcasing the Ovation Reve E3 and Maverick Silens 2 Profile among several others.
This morning, the ABTT return with their ever-popular session on the Technical Standards for Places of Entertainment which will cover key revisions and answer questions from the audience. After lunch, an expert panel will discuss the latest developments of the EcoDesign and RoHS regulations for stage lighting. ETC will then follow with an in-depth session explaining the value of multi-emitter LEDS and how to use them.
Alongside all the technology and content, visitors are invited to spend time exploring the ABTT Theatre Show Hub, the #WeMakeEvents Hub, and PLASA Members' Lounge, where you can learn about industry support and initiatives. Finally, the PLASA & #WeMakeEvents Stage is running live performances of upcoming artists all day long, right next to the PLASA Show Bar – See you there!
