The new impression S350 Wash
UK - PLASA Focus Leeds will present a first opportunity for GLP UK to showcase the five new products unveiled at Prolight+Sound in Frankfurt last month.
It will also demonstrate the degree to which the company has grown this past year. From the corporate end they have celebrated their 25th year by adding Fusion to their brand portfolio, while the UK operation, having moved to larger premises in Redhill, and recruited former Robe and TSL specialist, Greg Westwood as new technical manager. The full complement of UK staff will be present at the booth.
In order to give full exposure to the new products GLP has moved to a new location at the Royal Armouries, occupying the main foyer of the New Dock. “This will provide us with a great opportunity to build brand awareness and engage in the kind of networking for which PLASA Focus is well known,” said head of GLP UK, Simon Barrett.
As to the new products these consist of the following:
Highlander: Launched in Frankfurt with a distinctly Scottish theme, this is an impressive, traditional wash light based on a 1,400W discharge lamp, with a large zoom range, impressive field angle, full motion 4-blade framing system and fast iris.
KNV Dot / KNV Line: The KNV Line consists of five single pixels in a row, in which form factor is maintained 1:1 and thus they correspond to five KNV lines in form and pixel distance of a KNV cube. The KNV Dot is formed from a single power pixel (1 x white + 16 x RGB) in the form factor 2:1. Both were central to the Frankfurt lightshow, and wooed crowds permanently thronging the company’s booth.
S350 Wash: The new impression S350 Wash was likewise demonstrated on the active rig in Frankfurt and looks certain to draw the same reaction in Leeds. A logical partner for the original S350, with the same high-efficiency LED white light source, it guarantees excellent colour rendering. In addition to the innovative virtual CTC other attributes of its sister include a framing module.
FR10 Bar: The impression FR10 Bar already looks destined to make its way onto major productions during the coming year. With a large size output aperture this linear format fixture offers unrivalled output and creative control, whilst blending seamlessly in with the existing X4 Bar series.
Fusion: Representations of the Fusion Stick FS20/10, marking the beginning of a new era in Linear Lighting, and PAR FP7, equipped with seven powerful 30W RGBW LEDs, and with IP65 rating for use outdoors, will be present.
