Audinate has announced 10 partners who will build products with Dante AV-H
The Netherlands - Audinate has announced Dante AV-H, a new software solution designed to allow original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) the ability to incorporate Dante control into existing H.264-based IP video product designs. Part of the Dante AV product family, the company also announced 10 partners who will build products with Dante AV-H, including AVer, Avonic, Bolin, BZB Gear, HuddleCam, Lumens, Minnray, Telycam, Televic, and ValueHD.
H.26x remains one of the most widely used compression standards today and is available on products that use H.26x codecs available on most Systems on a Chip (SoC). The software-based Dante AV-H lets OEMs develop fully manageable video products that fit into the Dante ecosystem. Dante AV-H provides IT-level management to cost-effective IP video products such as PTZ cameras and encoders/decoders using Dante Domain Manager. Dante AV-H integrates industry standard Dante Audio into AV-over-IP products, giving users the ability to independently route audio to wherever it is needed.
“Dante AV-H brings the power of Dante Audio and Video control to products and customers that are in more cost-sensitive markets,” said Wim Roose, senior product manager, Audinate. “Dante AV-H brings interoperability to AV-over-IP products, providing easy-to-use discovery, connectivity and manageability while using the familiar, reliable H.264/265 codecs already supported in common hardware. Also, because Dante AV-H is software based, it is easier, less costly and faster to integrate than hardware-based solutions. We are excited to see the strong interest in the market as we help our OEM partners launch a new wave of innovation.”
Dante AV-H is now available for OEMs to purchase and will be shown in live demos at the Audinate booth (D88) at the International Broadcasting Convention (IBC) in Amsterdam this week.
