USA - Little Sister Lounge, a nightclub by Tao Group located in the Moxy Lower East Side hotel in NYC, is an underground cocktail lounge reminiscent of the LES in the 1990s. After becoming familiar with 1 Sound through its performance in neighbouring venues within the Moxy Hotel and Tao Group sister venues like Tao Downtown nightclub, this NYC staple in the nightclub scene, decided to upgrade its audio system to 1 Sound.

Inside the Moxy Hotel, 1 Sound is incorporated into Silver Lining Lounge, a piano bar, Sake No Hana, a modern Japanese restaurant, the Highlight Room, a rooftop cocktail lounge, and The Fix, a bar and all-day cafe. In the past three years of being installed these venue’s, 1 Sound systems have proved their quality and reliability, making it an exciting revamp for Little Sister Lounge to upgrade their audio system.

UK - Edinburgh’s W Hotel is the latest addition to the Marriott International estate.  Atop the building’s steel-spiral-clad exterior is a 12th floor rooftop terrace that boasts sweeping vistas of the city’s skyline and is the setting for a multi-speaker sound system from K-array, installed by London-based Link Media Systems.

“Sound is a big thing with the W brand,” affirmed W Edinburgh’s IT manager Kevin Edwards. “It's one of our key components of the brand makeup, and therefore getting the sound right is incredibly important.”

The Link Media technical team came up with a speaker system design that floods the whole terrace area with high level sound while remaining discreet and is also well protected from the elements, thanks to their stainless steel construction.

Chelmsford-based Spotlight Sound was founded in 2009 by director Sam Dimond. To expand its options for local artists and theatrical performances, the local government recently commissioned the creation of a new cultural hall – the Kultursalen Kipo. The tour, which began in April 2023, stops for two nights in each city, presenting two sets on ‘no repeat weekends’. USA - 3G Productions LLC (3G) has announced that it has received a strategic investment from Chimney Rock Equity Partners (Chimney Rock), a private equity firm focused on lower-middle-market industrial investments. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The Festival of the Sun, an exclusive two-day event held in a small town near Siena, Italy, was shrouded in secrecy until its launch on 21 June. Masterminded by record executive and producer, Rick Rubin, the festival was spread across multiple locations, including a historic church, a town square and a nearby castle. The mix of performances required an audio solution that could adapt to each setting whilst delivering a consistent audience experience.

USA - Plainfield Public Schools, located in Plainfield, New Jersey, recently hosted a ribbon cutting for its $4m renovation of the Plainfield High School auditorium, new eSports gaming arena, and black box theatre.
