USA - Twenty years after its founding by a handful of dedicated families, Redeemer Church celebrated the completion of a new 16,000sq.ft sanctuary, fellowship hall, and classroom complex in its hometown of Riverview, Florida, a suburb of Tampa.

Midway through the design phase, local A/V integration firm Christian Sound Installation (CSI) picked the project up when another firm folded, taking the best elements of the existing work and tweaking it for increased integration, impact, and functionality. Based on past success and a proven record of reliability, CSI specified Ashly Audio network-ready processors and amplifiers, which, together with an Ashly WR-5 remote control, gives the church reliability, great sound quality, and the ability to conduct full, audio-engineered services or smaller, auto-mixed events, such as weddings or funerals.

USA - At InfoComm 2015, d&b audiotechnik introduced two further additions to the company's new generation amplifier family. The eagerly anticipated 10D and 30D amplifiers are specifically designed to drive permanent solutions. The Netherlands - Integrated Systems Events, the organisers of the Integrated Systems Europe trade exhibition, has announced the appointment of two new members to its board. Ollie French, from Future Automation and Tobias Lang from Lang AG will join the nine-person ISE board of directors as of 1 July.

French works as the commercial director for Future Automation, a manufacturer of motorised and non-motorised mounting and concealing solutions for televisions and projectors with its primary market in the residential sector. Lang joins the ISE board of directors as CEO of Lang AG, the German-based AV sales, rental and solution provider of visual presentation technology.

UK - Adlib were the sound supplier for the European & UK leg of the recent 5 Seconds of Summer (5SOS) Rock Out with your Socks Out tour.

Adlib first 'met' 5SOS at the 2014 Summertime Ball event at Wembley Stadium in London where they were co-ordinating all things audio. The band's FOH engineer John Delf, asked Adlib's Ben Booker to mix monitors for the band's headline shows at London's Islington Academy and then Birmingham Academy 2. This was back in October 2013. At this point Ben saw the potential of the band and jumped on board full time.

Ben and John Delf were extremely happy when Adlib was chosen for this, 5SOS's first major headlining European production tour.

UK - Gottwood electronic and music festival - an intimate boutique event, set in an idyllic Welsh forest on the isle of Anglesey - has been running since 2010. It prides itself on presenting a DJ line up of "rising stars and established veterans".

Involved with promoters Future Noise Ltd from the beginning has been Creation Live's Tom Whittle, who in addition to working with Martin Audio's Cheshire-based partners (and event production company) VME is also the festival's operations manager.

USA - As part of the Kansas Star Casino, and located just south of Wichita, the Kansas Star Arena is a multipurpose auditorium that hosts conventions, concerts, rodeos, MMA fights and other events.

The 3,400-seat arena, which opened in 2013, had a basic audio system for announcements. However, the arena quickly outgrew the system's capabilities and often rented equipment to supplement its sound level and music quality for rodeos and other events with high levels of crowd excitement.

In 2014, Kansas Star turned to McClelland Sound of Wichita, KS to upgrade the arena's audio system. UK - The Jockey Club's £45m redevelopment of its flagship Racecourse at Cheltenham is fully underway with many of the areas complete outside of the main grandstand. The redevelopment will increase capacity and provide modern facilities and includes the demolition of the current royal box, which was built in 1952, and 55 other boxes built in the 1920s and 1930s.

Part of the re-development programme included within GBE's scope of works is the installation of the new PA/VA system, disabled refuge and WC alarms throughout the grandstand and new royal and private boxes.

Denmark - Following a major renovation, Danish boarding school, Vejle Idraetsefterskole, wanted to improve the classroom experience by engaging students in high-quality video learning. The dnp Supernova STS short throw front projection screen helped them achieve their aim in a cost-effective way, while eliminating some of the problems of the past caused by high natural daylight.

The high school itself focuses on sports talent development, and in an effort to improve the classroom element of their learning programme, it constructed a new wing with many large 'picture' windows to help students enjoy natural light throughout the day.

USA - Matanuska-Susitna College (MSC) has installed Alaska's first Meyer Sound Constellation acoustic system in its new Glenn Massay Theatre, a 523-seat facility purpose-built for Constellation. With the goal of accommodating a broad range of educational activities and arts performances in a single venue, the venue uses the system to provide ideal acoustics for all its events, including orchestral and choral concerts, student assemblies, lectures, fine arts performances, and amplified rock music.

"We're blown away by how great the room sounds," says theatre director Matt Sale. "It's hard to tell what is the room's own acoustical response and what is due to Constellation.
