Billboard Awards - Ed Sheeran was the big winner at the Billboard Awards in Las Vegas. The singer took home four awards - top artist, top radio songs artist, top song sales artist and top hot 100.
Other artists used the ceremony to pay tribute to Avicii, the Swedish DJ who died last month aged 28. Andrew Taggart from The Chainsmokers said the DJ's death was "a great loss for the music world and for us. He was an artist who inspired so many in so many ways and simply put he meant so much to us and so many in the EDM community."
Halsey added: "Everyone who worked with him would agree he was such a joy and it makes this tragedy all the more painful. And it's a reminder to all of us to be there and to support and love all of our friends and family members who may be struggling with mental health issues."
The annual awards show, which celebrates artists' achievements on the Billboard charts in the US, had a performance from Ariana Grande. She performed No Tears Left To Cry, her first single since the Manchester Arena terror attack, which took place almost a year ago. Other winners included Taylor Swift, who won top female artist, and Camila Cabello, who scooped the Billboard chart achievement award. Khalid won top new artist, Taylor Swift won top selling album for reputation and Kendrick Lamar was named top streaming artist.
Vinyl Record - Arctic Monkeys' new album is the fastest-selling on vinyl in 25 years, the Official Charts Company says. The band's Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino album sold 24,500 vinyl copies in its first week of release. Liam Gallagher previously held the record with As You Were, which sold 16,000 vinyl copies in its first week last October.
On Your Feet! - Gloria Estefan musical On Your Feet! has announced a London run, playing the Coliseum in June 2019. The musical will also have a week at Curve in Leicester prior to its West End run, with the venue co-producing the show alongside Jamie Wilson Productions and Gavin Kalin.
Estefan said: “The UK has not only been an important source of beautiful music for our world, but has also played an integral role in my own personal musical history. To have our life story playing on the stage of the iconic London Coliseum is a dream I could never have imagined coming true. I am thrilled and excited beyond words.”
