Twenty-five companies from across Europe attended the event
Turkey - Absen Europe recently hosted a two-day partner summit in Istanbul. The aim of the event was to bring together Absen Europe supporters, to promote open dialogue, synergies and business opportunities. Twenty-five companies attended, from the UK, Ireland, Finland, Hungary, Turkey, DACH, Italy, Spain, and France.
Kadir Serkan Arabaci, deputy general manager of Astel, Absen’s Turkish VAP and host of this first VAP reports: “This summit was conceptually very different to a usual distributor meeting. Absen invited its partners and clients from different countries, who are professionals in different verticals, to present their companies and success stories. Absen has an important place in the market, with its reliability, quality, service and its own company culture. It has been important to meet and share experiences with the Absen partners. I believe there will be new business collaborations and sharing platforms between partners very soon.”
The summit brought together a diverse line-up of speakers provided in-depth insight prompted the sharing of ideas that have worked in other countries, alongside actionable and practical tools.
A black-tie awards ceremony crowned the first day’s schedule. Best Retail Partner award went to Trison Screen S.L.U.; PSCo Limited was awarded Best Corporate Partner; Crambo, S.A. won Best Rental Partner, whilst the Best DOOH Partner award was bestowed upon Clear Channel.
Astel Led Ekran Çözümleri A.S took the Best Installation Award for the Akmerkez shopping mall project, which was visited by all guests on the last day. This major installation features an impressive 86sqm screen in portrait mode, using 10 x 14 Absen XD6 outdoor LED panels.
Special Project Awards were given to both Visual Creative Ltd. for the TV2 Studio Project (Hungary); and to Alabama Média for the M6 TV Studio Project (France).
PSCo’s director Stuart Holmes, commented: “It was a great honour to be named Best Partner in Corporate. The meeting itself was a very positive and forward-thinking experience – and it could be the foundations of something really special.
Commenting on the quality of the event and the partners’ reception to it, Ruben Rengel, managing director Europe & Oceania, said: “The summit was a great success and the enthusiasm and positive spirit of the partners helped make our time together both productive and fun.”
