Current RMS will remain tailored to the needs of the AV, production and events industries
UK - Equipment hire software companies Current RMS and InspHire have been acquired by integrated ERP solutions provider Kerridge Commercial Systems (KCS).
The deals will allow KCS to strengthen its presence within the rental industry. InspHire and Current RMS will operate as independent business units within KCS, under their existing management teams.
Current RMS will remain tailored to the needs of the AV, production and events industries. InspHire, which supplies software to companies that rent heavy plant and construction vehicles, will be backed to expand into the US market.
Chris Branson, managing director of Current RMS, comments: “I’m delighted that a company as prestigious and well regarded as KCS Group has chosen to invest in Current RMS. We’ve achieved so much in the four years since we launched and through this acquisition we’ve now got the backing and scale to accelerate product development and global reach, whilst remaining the Current RMS our users love.”
Ian Bendelow, CEO of KCS adds: “The acquisitions of InspHire and Current-RMS deliver a great opportunity for us to strengthen our presence in the hire software market in the UK, as well as developing further global opportunities in this sector. They are both very high quality businesses with offerings that are complementary to our own. We’re looking forward to working with their employees and to welcoming them to the KCS family.”
