nexo-villaVilla Paola is an elegant and prestigious restaurant, wedding and events venue
Italy - Located on a hillside in the Italian city of Fondi, Villa Paola is a prestigious restaurant, wedding and events venue created by owner Gianmaria Magni. Guests enjoy the food, beautiful interiors, majestic views, and a sound system installed in the restaurant and dancefloor areas by local event production services and technology specialists Remix Sound.
More recently, Sig. Magni contacted the De Simone brothers at Remix once again, this time with a brief to extend the high-quality sonic experience outside to a spectacular pool area surrounded by large gazebos with luxurious sofas. Riccardo De Simone takes up the story.
“We needed a slim and elegant speaker with the high power necessary to cover a large outside space. We’ve worked with Nexo for over two decades so were eager to try the new ID84 in this application. We know column speakers, and it was immediately apparent that Nexo has done much more than simply creating ‘another column speaker’. The ID84 concept is completely new, with a ground-breaking driver configuration. As such, we were able to offer a unique solution from a reliable and trusted brand, and the client is very pleased with the results.”
A total of four ID84s are housed in custom pedestals designed by Michele De Simone in the style of the existing light lanterns at Villa Paola. Columns are powered by a single Nexo DTDAMP4x1.3 four channel amplifier with processing from a DTD-T in a system designed using Nexo’s NS-1 configuration software by Wouter ‘Tony’ Verkuijl at the Italian branch of the Yamaha System Engineering Group.
A Yamaha MTX3 matrix mixer and DCP4V4S control panel make it easy to handle the varying requirements of different events, from wedding speeches to background music and DJ sets.
“As usual, Michele, Riccardo and the Remix team have done a great job at Villa Paola” says Tony. “This is a system that looks every bit as good as it sounds.”
