The campus has recently undergone an extensive transformation of its Learning and Teaching building
Australia - Australia’s largest university has established centres of academic excellence around the world, including eight on home soil – with Clayton campus its biggest, educating more than 30,000 students every year.
First established in 1958, 20km south-east of Melbourne, the campus has recently undergone an extensive transformation of its Learning and Teaching building - with 65 formal and 60 informal newly equipped learning spaces spread over almost 30,000sq.m providing a truly forward-thinking, innovative environment for campus teaching.
Designed to free the minds of the academics and students, liberating them from the constricts of more traditional teaching environments, the AV set up is central to this philosophy - enabling teachers and students alike to engage with the technology intuitively, rather than it being a barrier to learning.
Monash University worked with CHW Consulting to lock down a specification for the project to go to tender, and Rutledge AV won that process and was appointed as the AV systems seller and integrators for the project. Powersoft, was on-boarded as a key supplier in the AV mix, with its dedicated install multi-channel amplifier series, Ottocanali and Quattrocanali, deployed throughout Clayton’s Learning and Teaching Building.
22 Ottocanali 1204 DSP+ETH, 10x Quattrocanali 1204 DSP+D (Dante), 5x Quattrocanali 2404 DSP+D (and 2x M20D-HDSP+ETH) were installed in total as part of a high-spec audio set up which puts the end users - the teachers and students - at the heart of the solution.
Arthur Soh, Powersoft’s regional sales manager - APAC, says: “Our advanced amplifier solutions are perfect for this kind of landmark education project. Offering ease of integration and improving system performance, the Ottocanali and Quattrocanali ranges offer premium sound quality, are highly reliable and are unrivalled at the price point.”
