Germany - The Coemar ParLite Led is now available with new white LEDs. The quest for a natural white LED has been the subject of extensive research by the automobile and architecture industries. This work has made it possible for Coemar to offer a world premiere for the entertainment industry: VariWhite, a product which is compact, bright, high-yield, and affords significant energy savings, says the company.

The resulting brightness is comparable to a traditional 650W Fresnel, while consuming only 5% of the energy. But the real news is it is now possible to vary colour temperatures from 2700 K to 3500 K without losing brightness.

Denmark - Martin Professional's compact MAC 101 LED moving head wash is now available in three white light versions that expand its use to applications where high quality, pure white light is needed.

The new variants incorporate cold and/or warm LEDs instead of RGB for a better white light quality and greater output. Germany - Roland Systems Group has boosted its extensive V-Mixing System lineup with the introduction of the new R-1000 48-Track Recorder/Player, a stand-alone dedicated recorder/player designed to work with the V-Mixing System in any live event or production. The R-1000 can be connected with any digital console that has MADI output capabilities by using the Roland S-MADI REAC MADI Bridge.

Germany - Martin Audio's Multi-cellular Loudspeaker Array (MLA) celebrated a double success in Frankfurt this month. Just six months after winning the top prize at PLASA's Awards for Innovation, voted by an independent panel of 16 expert judges during the trade show at London's Earls Court, they scooped the MIPA Musikmesse International Press Award for Best PA System during the Pro Light&+Sound expo in Frankfurt.

UK - North London's iconic venue Alexandra Palace turned pink from the 6-8 April to mark the year countdown until the ITV London region will go digital on 4 April 2012, marking the end of analogue TV in the city where television began 75 years ago.

Television personality Christine Bleakley turned on the light show at Alexandra Palace which could be seen across the North London skyline marking the occasion.
