The Daktronics UHD solution is designed to manage one of the largest influencers in display performance: heat
The Netherlands - Daktronics will showcase its Ultra High Definition (UHD) LED product series at Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2016 taking place February 9-12 in Amsterdam. Currently available in two offerings, 1.9mm and 2.7mm line spacing, these new products are designed for "applications that require pristine image quality from an arm's length away".

Using the latest innovations in display system design, the Daktronics UHD solution is designed to effortlessly manage one of the largest influencers in display performance: heat. The result is a reliability advantage that offers superior performance and long display life, as well as greater colour depth, vibrancy and uniformity for the life of the product.

Daktronics product manager Lane Munson explains, "We have found in our 47 years in this industry that managing heat in an LED display is paramount. Heat is responsible for prematurely degrading LEDS and, for indoor product, heat generated by a display impacts HVAC requirements.

"By reducing power consumption to half the amount of similar products, our customers save money on electricity, reduce emitted heat and add to the lifetime of their display. And, if faced with high ambient lighting conditions, Daktronics UHD displays can achieve greater brightness levels and still operate more efficiently than others on the market today."

UHD screens make a dramatic statement in press rooms, boardrooms, command/control centres, corporate training, wayfinding and retail environments, to name a few. Daktronics UHD systems are also unmatched in performance when receiving video inputs from multiple content sources, which can be viewed simultaneously without having to compromise on image quality, even with fast moving footage such as sporting applications.

"Our UHD displays feature rapid processing technology," adds Munson. "We recognise that some applications require still or slow moving content while other applications require pure colour reproduction with the most efficient processing on the market. Our product is the ideal solution for extremely detailed, fast-moving video content.

"We listen to our customers and their needs are given the utmost attention in our research and development," says Pete Egart, Daktronics VP of EMEA. "We always strive to provide the best-in-class technology solutions that impact an audience."
