USA - Medialon has been selected to go on tour with Tina Turner, the eight-time Grammy Award winner. The star has recently made her long-awaited return to arenas with more than 80 dates scheduled throughout North America and across Europe.

The mission for Nocturne Productions - the production crew - was simple and challenging at the same time: make the stage show as powerful and exciting as the performer herself.

Tina's Production selected Geodezik - a video content designer and producer company - who put their trust in Nocturne Productions and Medialon to be part of the project for the video installation.

On stage, a large, 27ft high and 36ft wide LSI-Saco V9 LED wall has been specially designed with motion control to split into eight movable sections. An array of 80 Clay Paky Alpha Beam 300 fixtures appears when the LED wall splits.

A single Medialon Manager V5 Show & Media Control Software is used to turn on/off, control and trig all at the same time, the lighting and video projection equipment used for the LED wall and on stage.

Simply by clicking on the "Play" button on the Medialon Manager control panel, all the video content is easily loaded and displayed on the LED wall during the show.

Olivier Goulet, Geodezik video designer, is in charge of the show video content design and production, the 2D and 3D animation/compositing, as well as the video content integration via the Medialon system.

"I think Medialon Manager is very stable and flexible once programmed. I love the fact that you can control every type of machine thru any type of control signal", says Goulet.

With no compilation requested, Medialon Manager software, also allows the designers to make modifications on the fly while the show is running.

"When you're told to create visuals to enhance someone like Tina Turner, you know you are in for a wild ride", says Baz Halpin, Tina Turner's show designer. "Thanks to a very talented production team and innovative products, I think we achieved just that. The audience goes absolutely wild!"
