Midiator's Vision Pro on debut at PLASA 2010
UK - PLASA 2010 will see the release of the Vision Pro from Midiator. The Netherlands-based company is set to launch the visual show control device at stand H1.41. The Vision Pro will officially be released on the first day of PLASA 2010, when Midiator's founder Menno Pleij and James Heron of media-server manufacturer Green Hippo show the first ever third party integration of the proprietary HippoNet protocol, the foundation of the Hippotizer family.

"The integration of HippoNet in our Vision OS means that we can provide the same level of quality in operation, control depth and optimised feedback as is provided in Green Hippo's ZooKeeper software, but then integrated directly into our advanced interface. We're thankful that Green Hippo has provided us with their help, knowledge and trust in implementing their proprietary protocol. We think that this is definitely a solution the creative professionals have been waiting for, and we're inviting other manufacturers to join us in this effort," says Midiator's Menno Pleij.

Green Hippo's James Heron adds, "No matter how advanced computer based technology gets, when the curtain goes up, a tactile and intuitive control surface is reassuring for any user. We're delighted with the way Midiator have approached the server integration on the Vision Pro, both in ergonomic terms and also within their software following close liaison with Green Hippo's developers. We're delighted to be associated with such an innovative team as Midiator and we look forward to the future with anticipation as the product evolves."

At Midiator's stand there will be multiple demos showing integration of the Vision Pro with several media-servers, light consoles and other kinds of show devices. Users can get demonstrations or get 'hands-on' with the product in conjunction with equipment from brands including Barco, TV-One, Kiss-Box, FlyingPig and Green Hippo from one control surface.

Visitors can also see setups at the stands of Midiator's UK distributor AC Entertainment and Green Hippo, together with a small setup at the innovation gallery.
