Mexico - The jewel in the crown of Mexico's live music scene is the Vive Latino festival. Now in its 17th year, this hugely successful concert weekend takes place in the Foro Sol in Mexico City. Its concept is to gather important and upcoming bands from all over Ibero-America. This year, 150,000 people gathered to hear the performances of 70 artists and groups from 18 countries.

As in previous years, the primary PA systems were provided by Tecnoson Espectaculos, for the promoter OCESA Group. Under the leadership of sound designer Sergio Zenteno, two of the main stages were set up with Nexo STM modular line array systems. Drawing on Tecnoson's extensive inventory, the system specification for the Tecate Stage was an example of the diversity and sonic compatibility of the range of Nexo cabinets.

On the Tecate Stage, played by Natalia Lafourcade, Leon Larregui, Carla Morrison, Plastilina Mosh and Vicentico, a substantial STM modular line array was used as main PA. Left and right, the arrays comprised 18x modules of STM M46 main and B112 bass cabinets, rounded off by three STM M28 down-fill cabinets. For the very wide audience area, side arrays of six sets per side were used, i.esix STM M46 main + six STM B112 bass +three STM M28 down-fill per side. With GEO S8s for stage side-fill, Alpha for front-fill, and PS15 cabinets for stage monitoring, the Escenario Tecate was a veritable Nexo showroom.
