The Rigging Conference will run alongside the PLASA Show on Monday 19th September. With the opening key-note from well-known rigger and founder of Stage Rigging Inc. - Rocky Paulson - the one-day programme will also feature sessions looking at the chain of responsibilities involved in staging a production and an in-depth look into the complex discipline of performer flying. The full programme and delegate registration will be available shortly.
The PLASA Awards for Innovation will again attract visitors to the Innovation Gallery. Any products - whether lighting, sound, video, staging, effects, software or any associated product area - which meet the criteria for Innovation, can be entered into the Awards. However, product can only be entered by an exhibitor at PLASA 2016, or by a member company of the PLASA organisation. In either case, the nominating company must be the original manufacturer or its official representative. Once again, a team of respected industry brains representing a range of technical and design disciplines will be visiting the nominees' stands and assessing the entries. The winners will be announced on the Monday evening of the show.
