The R-1000 is suitable for virtual rehearsal, playback and video shoots
UK - Roland Systems Group will be exhibiting professional audio and video products for mixing, recording and web streaming at PLASA Focus, stand number RA-A9, including the VR-3 AV Mixer, R-1000 48 Track Recorder/Player and the M-480 48 Channel Live Mixing Console - showcasing the recently launched V1.5 firmware update for this popular console.

The V1.5 firmware update for the M-480 increases the number of DCA groups from 8 to 24 giving the engineer a massive jump in controllability in larger or more complex mixes as well as when using the M-480 in 96 channel cascade configurations. The added Scene Fade function allows channel fader levels to be set to fade smoothly when a scene is changed. Fade time is selectable up to 100 seconds and can be set to on or off for each channel and each scene.

Simplifying production and streaming, the VR-3 incorporates a video switcher, audio mixer, preview monitors and streaming-ready USB output all in a compact, single unit. As a USB Video/Audio class device (for web streaming or recording with a PC/Mac), web streaming is effortless by simply connecting the VR-3 via the USB port to a computer which is running a live streaming service such as USTREAM.

Designed to work with the Roland V-Mixing System in any live event or production, the R-1000 is suitable for virtual rehearsal, playback and video shoots. It can also be used with any digital console with a MADI output via the Roland S-MADI REAC MADI Bridge. Based on REAC (Roland Ethernet Audio Communication), the R-1000 eliminates the bulk and noise susceptibility typically associated with analogue snakes and replaces it with Cat 5e/6 (Ethernet/LAN) cable. Recording up to 48 tracks of 24-bit audio in BWF format, its removable hard drive ensures smooth integration with DAWs and allows approximately 20 hours of recording (44.1/48 kHz) using a 500GB HDD.
