The Jingle Bell crew: Tim Sherratt, Dave Kay, Andy Robinson, Marc Peers
UK - Each year, London radio station 95.8 Captial FM hosts the Jingle Bell Ball at The O2. For the third year running, Sennheiser UK provided its support to the audio production.

Taking place over the weekend of 4 and 5 December, the event raises money for Capital's Help a London Child charity and attracted a host of the music industry's pop idols including, Kylie Minogue, Black Eyed Peas, The Saturdays, The Wanted, Tinie Tempah, Example, Alexandra Burke, Flo Rida, The Script, Akon, Taio Cruz, Nicole Sherzinger, Labrinth and Cee Lo Green, all of whom used Sennheiser equipment over the two day event.

Working directly for Production North, Adlib Audio provided a full sound system and crew for the event. Sennheiser's team of Mark Saunders, Tim Sherratt and Sam Davidson were also on hand throughout, providing help and advice on RF issues and general support for microphones and IEM systems used throughout, which were provided from Adlib's own inventory and supplemented by equipment from Sennheiser UK.

Microphones were a combination of SKM 5200 with Neumann heads (Alex Burke, Cee Lo Green), SKM 5200 with MD 5235 head (Kylie Minogue and the presenters), SKM 2000 handhelds (The Script, Flo Rida, Nicole Sherzinger, Black Eyed Peas, Akon, The Saturdays and Taio Cruz), and SKM 500-G3 handhelds (Tinie Tempah, Example, Labrinth and The Wanted). In ear monitoring were ew 300 IEMs throughout, again a combination of Adlib's own stock, supplemented by Sennheiser UK.

On site for Adlib were Dave Kay, George Puttock and Marc Peers. "It was great for us to draw on the huge experience of the Sennheiser team," says Kay. "This enabled us to create a very stable RF plan to cater for all of the artists requirements simultaneously, so we could enable all bands to soundcheck within a very tight schedule on the morning of each gig."

"Due to the large amount of RF on the show I was very happy to see that Adlib had approached Sennheiser to provide some extra support and back up throughout the Jingle Bell Ball weekend," adds Andy 'Baggy' Robinson, audio supervisor for Production North. "These type of shows are always testing and, having worked with Sennheiser on large projects before, the extra backup was of huge benefit to the production, which was delivered at a very high level of success in terms of the radio requirements for the artists and presenters."
