The old mill in city of Uppsala lights up for the 2010 event
Sweden - Wireless Solution Sweden AB was recently a 'green' participant for Allt Ljus på Uppsala 2010 ("All Lights on Uppsala 2010') in which lighting designers and architects lit a variety of buildings, statues and trees in the city. The event first took place in 2008, aiming to promote the city with all its beautiful facades, as well as promoting and improving public health by getting people out of their apartments at night walking around to see the lights. The project was a huge success and the Uppsala Municipality decided to make the project a biennial event therefore reoccurring this year, 2010.

One of the objects of 2010 was the old mill in the city centre and the water surrounding it. Kreativ Teknik AB created and transformed the area into a dynamic coloured adventure with music and sound effects. The theme was 'The Four Seasons' and the site went from winter through spring and summer to autumn, all to the music of Antonio Vivaldi in a seven-minute long pre-programmed automated show.

Trees, water, facade, grass and a small waterfall were lit by LED-fixtures among others and the team had great help with the W-DMX system since some fixtures were inside the mill, some in trees 200m away, some high up in a tree and some down in the water.

The whole show was programmed and time coded and later saved to a show store in order to be fully automated from 16.00 - 24.00 every evening from 29 October to 29 November.

Kreativ Teknik supplied lighting and audio design by Lina Denne, technical design by Marcus Persson and programming by Jonas Hessel.
