UK - Lighting designer Jordon Cooper armed himself with an Avolites Tiger Touch II with Fader Wing to control a series of dynamic UK 'Homecoming' gigs for alt-rock band Mallory Knox following their American tour.

"The band had been in the US for most of 2015 and wanted to create a big impact on their return," says Cooper. "The Tiger Touch II, loaded with V9, is my first choice for this type of show. I designed the tour featuring a lot of multi-cell fixtures, LED tape and effects such as smoke machines and strobes, so I used the Pixel Mapper and Key Frame Shapes features, which offer a very quick way to create effects and it gives you a lot more control on how precise they are."

The team opened each show with a giant Union Jack backdrop to mark the homecoming, and designed two large set pieces either side of stage which were based on Mallory Knox's 'MK' lo

Loto Audio's Ramon Salazar explains, "We started to try and make contact with the owner over a year ago because this is the best and most famous beach club in Mexico. When we found him, it turned out that he was also looking for us - the Funktion-One distributor for Mexico. USA - Since its opening in 2014, Miami's E11EVEN has featured a procession of superstars from Drake to A-Trak on its stage - and that has been during normal times! During Winter Music Conference last year, the chic two-story downtown Miami club was a magnet for hip hop, house music and EDM heavies. There were so many artists slated to perform at the club that its management decided to expand stage space by booking some acts to perform up on the open, airy cabana style Rooftop Terrace over the second floor.

This decision ultimately led to a new look being created on the terrace by world-renowned club designer Michael Meacham of iDesign, using a collection of LED moving fixtures from Chauvet. "The club knew it had to create a different atmosphere up on the roof to support the acts it was bring there during the Winter Music Conference This is when they brought me in," sa

USA - Deptford Township High School serves over one-thousand students in the Philadelphia suburb of Deptford, New Jersey. Its Spartan football team is fiercely competitive and won the state sectional championships back-to-back in 2003 and 2004. However, like so many high schools, Deptford's game-day sound reinforcement system didn't live up to the passion of the team. It fell flat musically and caused fans to strain to hear announcements.

Local A/V integration firm Precision Audio, which just so happens to be headed by two Deptford Township High School alumni, pulled out the old system and replaced it with a Danley Sound Labs design comprised of three Danley OS-80 loudspeakers and two Danley OS-115 subwoofers, all of which are completely impervious to the elements and thus ready for any weather the East Coast can conjure.

"The old system was basically a handful of vinta

USA - Clearwing Productions, an AV sales, service, event- production and integration services provider with locations in Milwaukee and Phoenix, acquired eight RedNet D16R AES rack-mount Dante interfaces, part of the full line of RedNet Dante network devices from Focusrite, nearly a year ago.

The D16R units have transformed how the company is able to move digital audio around for clients ranging from one troupe of the famed Blue Man Group to the 2015 FIS Alpine World Ski Championships in Vail and Beaver Creek, Colorado.

Three RedNet D16R units (along with three RedNet 1 eight channel A-D/D-A interfaces and one RedNet 2 sixteen-channel A-D/D-A interface) reside at the Blue Man Theatre at Luxor hotel and casino in Las Vegas, where Clearwing Productions was the systems integrator for the theatre's new sound system designed by Marcus Ross.

Germany - Airstar was recently involved in a lighting project from notorious artist Rafael Lozano Hemmer to celebrate the 125th anniversary of the Ulm church tower spire in Germany.

A gigantic balloon measuring six metres in length and animated by eight Panasonic projectors was hung for three months in the middle of the Lutheran church nave. The projected images provided a faithful representation of the activity in the sun's surface. The Hannover office of Airstar European Network (AEN) provided and installed the balloon.

For this artistic performance, Airstar proposed a custom made air-filled Pendulair 600 balloon. Because of the historical dimension of the church and the need to keep it intact, the artist was looking for a structure which he could project onto that wouldn't be too heavy. Once filled with 113m3 of air, the six metre wide balloon weighed only 25kg.

Europe - Swedish PA company, Parashoot, has completed a European tour with Norwegian singer songwriter, Ane Brun, using Allen & Heath's new dLive system to manage FoH and Monitors.

Parashoot's recently purchased dLive system, comprising the flagship S7000 Control Surface and DM64 MixRack, was immediately deployed on the tour, mixing both FOH and monitors on the same console.

"I have been using iLive endlessly over the last five years, and on the last two Ane Brun tours, culminating in over 200 shows. The timing of the dLive release couldn't have been better. The anticipation of more FX and more buses, made it the unchallenged winner for this tour. A&H makes the best digital live preamps, channel dynamics and onboard FX engines, so it was a no brainer," comments Parashoot's sound engineer and owner, Oscar Söderlund.

"The system latency is extremely low, and

Germany - Yamaha's MTX3 matrix mixer/signal processor is proving a popular solution for smaller, fixed audio installations where untrained staff are in day-to-day control of the system. Houses of worship are an ideal example, with three German churches recently commissioning MTX3-based systems.

Steinheim-based Klartext AV has installed two of the systems, one in the town of Kohlberg, the other in Oggenhausen.

The Kohlberg installation includes an MTX3 with Yamaha XMV4140 multi-channel power amplifier and DCP4V4S wall-mounted control. The four buttons and rotary controls of the DCP4V4S make it very straightforward for church staff to have comprehensive control over the system, which includes fixed microphones at the pulpit and altar, wireless handheld and headset mics, plus a piano. By touching a single control, the system can be instantly reconfigured for a range of uses.
