In order to reflect the fast pace of technological development and innovation in the entertainment and events markets, the Trophée Louis Jouvet will be awarded at the show, honouring the most original innovation of the year, in a ceremony at the Espace Label des Prestataires on Tuesday 3 February at 6.00p.m.
Specialized audio technologies will be presented in the Espace Audio. This year, SIEL is highlighting line array systems, and a number of brands will be taking advantage of the exhibition to show their systems. For the live entertainment and events sectors, SIEL is offering four high-level conferences in partnership with the SYNPASE (Syndicat des Prestataires Techniques du Spectacle et de l'Evénement). The sessions will include 'Line Array, Medium Range Distribution' on Monday 2 February at 10.15a.m; 'Lyons: Festival of Lights' on Monday 2 February at 2.30p.m; 'A Wireless Concert' on Tuesday 3 February at 10.15a.m, and 'Events in the City' on Tuesday 3 February at 2.30p.m.
Representing the nightlife sector, the UMIH (Union des Métiers et des Industries de l'Hôtellerie), the union representing those who work in the hotels, restaurants, cafés and discothèques of France, is hosting a 'Village Prévention', which will present the various solutions available to nightlife establishments. At the same time, the 'Espace Equipement et Installation' will showcase the latest innovations in sound, lighting and decoration. Lastly, the show will include a new centre entirely dedicated to DJing, which will including DJ equipment, music software, information and training. In addition, Pioneer will run a workshop called 'Introduction to Mixing on CD'.
