UK - The first ship of its kind to grace the high seas, The World recently visited the shores of the UK before sailing onto Norway. Weighing 43,524 tonnes and measuring 196.35m in length, this vessel can cruise at a comfortable speed of 18.5 knots. The World is the first resort community at sea continuously circumnavigating the globe, comprised of 165 elegant, privately-owned residences, many of which are available for rental. The World offers the comforts of home, the best features of ocean travel and the environment of an exclusive resort.

One of The World's residents said: "What we most love about the ship is that we wake up in the morning and discover we're in a different place, and yet our clothes are still in the closet and we haven't had to change hotel rooms. It is our home carrying us to different parts of the world with different cultures." Residents of The World are surrounded by luxury 24 hours a day. You could be mistaken for thinking that you are in any resort home in Paris, London or New York.

Similar to any downtown community, the main deck features a pedestrian street, leading from stern to bow through the hub of The World's activity. Controlling the lighting in these areas, enhancing the individual character and features of every room is vital in creating the perfect ambience. iLight iCan products were used throughout the vessel for controlling the lighting. iCan products where also interfaced with the vessels alarm system for emergency lighting and DMX fibre-optic lights in the Quantum Night Club and Portraits Restaurant.
