UK - Entertainment lighting specialist White Light will hold its first Amateur and Schools Lighting Open Day on Sunday 30 September at its base in Wimbledon, south-west London.

All involved in lighting for amateur theatre groups and schools are invited, with the day scheduled to allow them to attend - unless, of course, they are working on a show.

Those who can make it will be able to take part in lighting masterclasses led by White Light's in-house designers, play hands-on with a range of equipment and special effects including snow, UV, projection and bubbles, see a demonstration

While the show pushed acrobatics to the limit, the technical was equally impressive. Much of the gear, including 12 new Clay Paky Alpha Profile 1500s, was supplied by MGG Productions.
