South Africa - Earlier this year Innibos was acknowledged as the most popular festival in South Africa and received KykNET's Fiesta Award. With this feather in their cap, the Afrikaans festival went full steam ahead to present their ninth successful Innibos held from 26 - 29 June 2012 in Nelspruit and attended by 120,000 people.

On The Fringe - Ticket sales for the Edinburgh Fringe are down by about 1%. It is thought the London Olympics - which clashed with the first nine days of the Fringe - was a major factor in the fall in sales. The Fringe remains the world's largest arts festival, with 2,695 shows performed in 279 venues.

The system consists of four LS1000NF, one per corner with two LS1000S subs; the front bar features LS1000M enclosures plus two more LS1000M for DJ monitors.

UK - Midas is offering free one-hour, on-stand, training sessions covering its PRO Series of consoles at PLASA 2012.

And, in an 'icing on the cake' gesture, Midas is also generously offering free entry to the show for all those who pre-register for training on the Midas website before 5 September.

Midas's Jason Kelly will run two one-hour training sessions per day on a range of PRO consoles including: PRO2, PRO2C and the new PRO1. The daily sessions will take place in a purpose-built demo room on-stand (Hall 1-Stand F19) and will run from 1pm until 2pm and from 4pm to 5pm.

UK - As part of its music and arts promotional campaign, coffee shop chain Caffè Nero is hosting an ongoing series of free live gigs by up-and-coming artists at its UK outlets. July has seen guitarist/singer-songwriter Jamie Abbott nominated as the retailer's Artist of the Month, accompanied by a compact K-array KB-1 audio system as he travelled across the UK.

Abbott's tour has visited 30 Caffè Nero outlets, tying many of them in with sets at local radio stations. This has meant that he was often playing two or three gigs in different towns or cities on the same day.

USA - For three evenings in July, 45,000-plus fervent fans gathered at the Lollapalooza festival's Bud Light Stage to hear some of the world's top musical acts, including Black Sabbath with Ozzy Osbourne, Avicii, Justice, and Franz Ferdinand. Denmark - Having recently been awarded a contract to relay 300 Superliga football matches over the next three years, Danish event and television production specialist dbLux has taken delivery of a new outside broadcast truck, complete with a DiGiCo SD10B digital console.

The Superliga is Denmark's top football league, featuring 12 teams who play each other three times during the season.
