Ireland - Production Services Ireland (PSI) has opened a new Dublin facility in Sandyford, just off the M50 to the south of the city.

This is to help service the increasing amount of work PSI is doing in southern Ireland, enabling a true 'all Ireland' operation, which will run in conjunction with the Belfast office and warehouse in Carryduff. The two locations are under two hours apart by road.

This Dublin base is being managed by Ciaran Tallon. He has been in the lighting and production industry for 24 years with active experience as a freelance technician, lighting operator and designer and as project manager working on tours, corporate events and installations, and for the last 12 years as hire manager with his previous company.

UK - FOH engineer Rick Pope is out on the Jamiroquai tour with a Midas XL8 live performance system at FOH, supplied by Britannia Row and babysat by Britannia Row's Warren Grimsley, who is out for the first time with the system. Originally on the tour as PA tech, Grimsley was promoted to his position with little training on the XL8, but picked it up in no time.

Sweden - Kristianstad Theatre put LumenRadio's CRMX wireless system to good use in the recent local production of the Disney musical Beauty and the Beast. The theatre, staffed mostly by volunteers, is housed in a beautiful old building from 1906 on the fairgrounds of this southern Swedish town.
