UK - Artistic Licence Engineering is exhibiting a selection of its range of lighting control products at PLASA Focus. These include test equipment, data distribution and LED lighting which incorporate the protocols of DMX, RDM, Ethernet, Art-Net, DALI and MIDI.

Visitors to the stand (S-D13) can discover more about recent product releases including Multichrome-Flex, Flexed-Up and Two-Play XT, as well as Rail-DMX-DSI, LMX6, DMX-Buffer and the latest release, Rail-Pipe HC.

Artistic Licence Engineering Training Days, initiated and sponsored by Wayne Howell, are also being promoted. These have been developed with the intention of sharing the company's extensive knowledge of current control protocols with the industry at large. UK - Light Bureau has announced the recent completion of the first project with shoe retailer Kurt Geiger in the Portobello Road area of Notting Hill, London. The store includes over 500sq.ft of retail space and is designed to impart a sense of upmarket boutique. Glass shelves adorn mirrored walls whilst bespoke glass tables and consoles provide central display areas. This carefully selected pallet of finishes provides high reflection and affords continual views of merchandise throughout the store.

Belarus - PR Lighting's Belarus distributors, FE Belimlight, needed to draw on almost their entire inventory of PR fixtures recently to meet an extravagant lighting design created by Siarhei Koltsov (from FE's production company, Blackout Studio).

The set was for a concert by Russian rock stars Vyacheslav Butusov and Jupiter in front of 7,000 people at the Minsk Sports Palace - and no fewer than 136 fixtures from the Chinese manufacturer were on duty. These were made up of 48 each of PR Lighting's XL 1500 Spot and Wash Lights and 20 each of the XL 700 Spot and Wash.

USA - Martin Audio has again walked away with the Best Club Sound System (Design) category in the 26th International Dance Music Awards (IDMA), held during the Winter Music Conference at the Miami Beach Convention Centre.

The custom dance system installed at the Ministry of Sound in South London beat off nominations from top international venues, Beta in Denver, Cielo and Pacha in New York and Space in Ibiza.
